In early 1982 a party tape was circulating in my hood. The mix was a bit primitive and beat mixing had yet to be introduced to us up north.

A close friend recently found a worn out copy buried under a shit load of stuff. I ripped it, found all the music and made a new mix. I decided not to use effects, no bells and whistles of the new area and make it sound "old". Some of the music was ripped of vinyl and some tracks were really hard to find.

Originally the music, which was not possible to get in local stores, was brought to Iceland by the original DJ's sister who lived in NY. This music which has forever shaped us was to us priceless.

The old gang comes together once a year for a salmon fishing expedition and this mix was premiered last year.
