May the 4th 2012, Adam Yauch aka MCA from the Beastie Boys has lost his battle with cancer. It would be easy to go off in this article about the type of cancer Adam had or the massive achievements which were had by arguably the greatest hip hop group of all time, but I’m not. Every website around the world is doing that right now, this is more of a personal look back at what Adam did for music as a whole and the feelings he brought out of people like me, who idolised people like MCA and looked up to him as a true music icon, a trend setter and an original B-Boy.
