The Great Space Trade

In the short story, "Space Traders", Derrick Bell writes of America's first encounter with beings from outer space. These beings offer solutions to all the country's problems (pollution, enormous national deficit, and the energy crisis), in exchange for all of its black people. The offer is made without coercion or explanation as to what will be the bartered people's fate. That story inspired this mix, because when the Space Traders come, I'll be at the front of the line and this will be playing on my iPod.
