Cleveland, Ohio stand up....thats the birthplace..and about 15 years ago I began My musical paper chase,went out and bought the gear 1700.00 could get,and about 10 crates of records to rock some 1s party with. I practiced night and day,putting together scratches and phrases,and practicing trick moves with the tables that were sure to amaze. I did My first set for free,and made the party move and flow with ease,it was fun to look out on the dance floor and see the ladies all bent over at the knees,shaking their bootys to the music I was mixing and looking all sweaty and pleased.
I admit I did a lot for free in the beginning of My quest I needed the practice and in front of a live audience it works the best,but the pay was crappy and work was the best thing to keep doing..."have patience and let things progress" I kept telling Myself...
The thing that makes ME a little different from the rest,is that My djing is not about a scratching contest...although given the right setup as you very soon shall see My scratch is fire and lays on top of the beat very nicely.
Well now it looks like Im headed to the place I always wanted to be,where the skys are blue and the mountains are rocky...I wonder if they ready for a jock this damn cocky...its time to get paid for the stuff I do,and see a lot of azz shaking going on in the room....Hey colorado I will be seeing you soon, D.j.
