"No More Music By The Suckers!" - that was the rallying cry of the reborn Chop Shop radio show in the fall of 1998. After a short hiatus, Wild 94.9 gave the reins of the station to Big Von and Scotty Fox on late Saturday nights, and havoc was unleashed. Real, unadulterated hip-hop, megamixxed in a crazy, anything-goes fashion blessed the airwaves.
The Chop Shop transitioned to KMEL in 2001, and took a more central role, anchoring the daily evening show, where they ruled until 2010. Now, it's been resurrected right here on Mixcrate for your pleasure, without the strict guidelines of commercial radio.
No rules, no more music by the suckers.
