Back in the early 90's, the "houser" days, people wore some pretty crazy clothes. Paisley shirts with black hoods, huge orange jeans, boots.... the style was wild. As wild as the style was, so was my music selection. I used to find different records to play, b-sides, album cuts, etc, that would create a fresh vibe, definitely not stale. I remember DJing a dance at Lowell High School (my school) when I was a Senior, 1992. I vaguely remember my set, which was geared towards the "housers". This mix is a modern interpolation of that set, including most of the same songs. Some early 90s rare hip-hop gems. Dedicated to the Bozacks, the KnuckleNeck Tribe, and Stank Winos. U-N-I-Vers-All.
The artwork for this mix is taken from a house party I DJd during this era. The clothes speak for themselves.
