1993 Volume 1 (I Love Sub Love Mix)

This is a mix I have wanted to do since the release of two ep’s of previously unreleased and hard to find Sub Love tunes earlier this year. Why some of these tracks where never released at the time is beyond me, as they are without a doubt some of the greatest ’93 tunes I have ever heard – Right up there with anything on Basement records or Impact imo :)

What I like most about Sub Loves’ tunes is the fact that they are constructed from original riffs and melodies rather than relying on tired out samples like so many other producers did at the time, and the production ethic is right up there with the likes of Ron Wells from Basement records, or Liam Howlett form The Prodigy. It’s almost criminal to think that these have been sat gathering dust on DAT for the last 18 years or so, but thanks goes out to Will @ Sublogic for making these releases happen, and of course thanks goes out to Jody Wisternoff for making these amazing tunes in the first place.
