The Numarx were a DJ crew out of Balitmore MD, who used to do megamixes for WEBB-AM and WXYV-FM (V-103), back in the mid 80's. Even tho I lived in DC, I would put my radio in the corner of my bedroom to tune it in. The Numarx were the biggest inspiration for me to get into DJing, and I swore I would do a tribute mix as soon as I was able. Here you will find some of the classic tracks featured on the Numarx mixes, done in my style, and some new (well, new at the time) tracks done in the Numarx style. Also there are original tracks from the Numarx crew: DJ Spen, Junie Jam, DJ Rod, KG, and Moses. Junie Jam himself gives this mix his full approval!

Lol. Hey, I remember the Numarx. Man, dropping WEBB brings back memories and reminds me that I'm getting old. Nice tribute.

I too live in DC and had my box tuned in every weekend. Their show was better than the local rival, Frank Ski. Hearing Roxanne rapping over Run DMC's song, then having remixed Hello Stranger, and funky instrumental mixes helped put them over the top. I miss hearing "engineers in the place to be...well" Dang somebody hand me a couple of tissues...*sniff sniff*

Had no idea that DC was rocking to the Numarx like we were up here in Baltimore. Worst thing I ever did was when I threw out a shoebox full of their mixes. There was a point when Mr. Magic had a show down here and so did DJ Scratch.
