As 2011 closes I wanted to pay tribute to a heavy influence on us all, Gil Scott-Heron (RIP 2011). The man speaks for himself so I won't get on my soapbox.
It's mainly an album of his Poetry from the early 1970s, I put some music in and artists he'd influenced as well, but a good 30 minutes of this 80 minute CD is just Gil Scott-Heron reading poetry with his backing band and audience all echoing his sentiments.
This is straight from my mixer into a burner, no edits, no computers involved.
