Long story short...
My passion began back in 1984. Picked up a couple of turntables - without pitch control, a Realistic mixer to go with them and off I went...
A few years later with help from a childhood friend, joined a mobile dj group 'Ladda Sounds' based out of Oakland, California. Only then was I able to really appreciate the true art and learn the fundamentals of being a dj. Participated in just about every gig: garage parties, high schools, corporate functions, weddings, etc. I must say for those who were connected with the mobile dj scene in the Bay Area, know the real gigs everyone looked forward to were the IMAGINES, The AA Productions, the Just 4 Fun's...and of course a few battles along the way. They were all big influences as well. It was truly a great run for me and proud to be a part of that Golden Era!
As the Era slowly faded away, so too did my passion for mixing. I eventually called it quits by the mid 90's. With the help of technology, Serato, and former crew members DJ Rockman and DJ Pleez, here I am making another run at it some 15 years later...and having fun again! The passion that began and faded away many years ago is definitely back!!
