This set wasn't put together with a specific genre in mind. Having said that, it was definitely put together with MushroomJazz style in mind. If you dont know Mushroom Jazz check it out on Amazon. I am long time acid jazz fan and the "Mushroom style" was a natural progression, my DJ style and musical tastes has been heavily influenced by Mark Farina. This set is a little heavier on the soul/nu-soul side, but the downtempo, jazz and hip hop elements are definitely there. Enjoy
