Last week was all about going deep. This week we climb the heights of inspiration in this new live DJ set by SOL Vibes (Brisbane, Australia). So let your spirit be lifted high as you groove to these new soulful songs.
My goal is not just playing the songs everyone knows. It’s about discovering and bringing to the surface otherwise unknown music and artists. So if you’re new to this fusion of jazz, funk, gospel, disco and dance––otherwise called house music––you gotta let it grow on you. And if you’ve got some soul it will! :-)

When I began DJ-ing in New York in the early 90s people looked at me with two heads when I played Frankie Knuckles and Strictly Rhythm. Well, times have changed. There seems to be a revival of good, upbeat, uplifting soulful music.
