made this a while back....one of the albums that best represents what hip hop is.....
in todays post lyrical hip hop world of forced punchlines/metaphors irrelevant content by either comedians or wannabe gangstas or R&B rappers, this is a good album album to refer to for an accurate representation of hip hop... was made in the ninties the decade before hip hop died due to misrepresentation by commercialization and by kids who were trying to be everyone but themselves....
this group on this album stressed being yourself through self knowledge instead all the bullshit today (mentioned above)
every verse on this mix is quotable but here r some that hit me
notable quotables:
"my verbals orgasm, my rimes masterbate the mind" - lee majors
"plastic men i see thru em like a zima" - lee majors
"everyones a player i'd rather be the coach" - lee majors
"staring out the window, broke like mr.wendall, ain't nobody know the troubles that i went thru" - lee majors
"i sit around and watch these crews act less than equal to themselves, trying to be like everybody else" - Mista Man aka da Acrobat
"i use to get rejected, neglected and dejected, disrespected treated like i was infected but straight ffrom the bakalac comes the acrobat and u was sayin i would never be phat, remember dat?" - mista man
