I was already thinking of doing this project when I was contacted by Jeepney Clothing to do a mix cd with them. Now jeepneys are a traditional form of transportation in the philippines, and its basically made from a parts of a jeep frame and anything the people can find really. Its really a rolling artform and a testament to the peoples ingenuity! I took that as a sign from the mixtape gods.I wanted to do a project where I could just mix and match genres and basically put things together that don't neccesarily fit but nevertheless in my mind did .I pretty much pretended I was 10 yrs old again when I use to make mixes of all things that inspired me at that moment.now I wouldn't say this a mashup cd, but a hybrid cross section of hipdancehousehallapoprockerternative.and if I'm like most people, we all like something from all genres of music. So please enjoy and I hope this genre bending project keeps your brains on permanent rotation..
